Father’s Day Acoustic Set, The Uptown in Oakland

Father’s Day in Oakland, CA, June 17th, 2018, Caroline Blind took to the stage again for a few acoustic Sunshine Blind and cover songs in celebration of friends birthdays… More than 20 artists and groups took the stage for a few songs, in many genre’s of music, and the variety made the show very fun and interesting! Joined at the last minute by one of her many guitar collaborators, Dave Cayabyab (of The Dramedy, LA, CA ), Caroline took to the stage and belted out songs to a receptive crowd.

Convergence XXIV- April 27-29, Detroit, MI

The first full band, fully electric, Sunshine Blind reunion show in YET ANOTHER four years for the bands’ members (Caroline Blind, CWHK, and original drummer Geoff Bruce), with William Faith (of Faith and the Muse, The Bell Weather Syndicate, etc. etc.) on bass took place in Detroit, MI, at Smalls, as part of the two day Goth Festival “Convergence XXIV” !!  Staged each year for the past 24 years, always in a different city, the Convergence festival brings together the members of alt.goth.net for music, art, vending, and bands… Begun in 1994, Sunshine Blind were fortunate to play Convergence 1 (Chicago), Convergence 2 (Boston), Convergence 3 (San Francisco), Convergence 20 (Chicago again!), and now reunited again to play Convergence XXIV!

Caroline Blind plays first acoustic set in NYC

Fed up with waiting for new full band reunions, Caroline Blind struck out on her own to play her first Acoustic gig at Ward 6 in New York City on January 27, 2018.

Playing a mix of Sunshine Blind songs and cover songs, including a cover of “Zombie”, a tribute to the recent passing of Dolores O’Riordan from the Cranberries, the set was well received, and reviewed in the NJ local weekly music magazine: The Aquarian Weekly.
